Okay! Hey guys! Thanks for reading my stories and now I have 6 subscribers! In 2 days! YAY!*Joe*I had just started skateboarding and fell. Big whoop. It was kind of embarrassing to fall flat on your face and be the most popular guy. Coach Rob had to pick me up. Thank goodness that Chelsea hadn't seen. She and her Chelsea Clones would probably laugh at me- even if I were the most popular guy at school. "Nice going, Jonas." That was from some guy called David Henrie. Ugh. I must look like a loser. "Mr. Jonas, I think that you need a tutor." I just agreed because I didn't want to get humiliated. "Demi Lovato!" Huh!?! Coach was calling over a girl? No no no no way. Chelsea would kill me. She became the overprotective girlfriend after she saw me TALKING to A.J, my old GF. Seriously, I think that girls are too sensitive. As this Demi Lovato skated over, I stared at her. She looked like a skater chick. Like exactly what you would imagine if someone said skater chick. But she was kind of pretty in a way- though she wasn't my type, a blonde bombshell. "Demi, meet your new student, Joe Jonas. Joe Jonas, meet your new tutor, Demi Lovato. Demi is part of Code Linley, the skateboarding group I was talking about. You should be lucky to get her."I tried reasoning with Coach. "Is Cody Linley free instead?" I did not want to go through Chelsea interrogating me at lunchtime in front of her Clones. "Probably but I have chosen Demi. Is there a problem?" I was about to say yes, but Coach Rob was almost glaring at me, which means that you're on the brink of detention-Coach Rob Style. (A/N that means running laps, doing push-ups, heart-pumping activities, you know, of that kind.) I just nodded weakly. After Coach Rob left, this blond guy skated over to Demi. "Who's he?" He said, with a hint of jealousy in his voice. I think that he likes Demi. "He's Joe Jonas, the guy who I have to teach skateboarding. It's okay, Cody, he's not going to hurt me or anything. Chill." Cody gave me a look, (I thought that only girls give looks!) (A/N If I have brackets but no A/N in it, that means that it's not Author's Note, it's the person's thoughts.) which I tried giving back. He skated away, and I watched as he did another trick. SHOW OFF! "Okay, Joe. I'm Demi Lovato. So. Can you skate around the gym for me?" For you? No. For the sake of my popularity status? Yes. I put my two feet on the board and pushed with my right foot. Hey! I was actually doing it! I could skate! I did a whole round and when I came back, Demi looked at me funny. Uh-oh. "Great, huh?" I said, pulling on the collar of my button-down. "Um, yeah, if you call only having your left foot on the board and never taking your right foot off the ground skateboarding." *Demi* This Joe Jonas guy was terrible at skateboarding. He seemed really glum about I helping him, which is a great way to welcome someone, and he seemed to have that look that said, are you done yet? Still, there seemed to be a determined flame in him, something that said, I just have to learn how to skate. I wonder why, because whatever the reason, it's sure not to get a passing grade in gym. I asked him to show me what he could do, and he could skateboard- half skateboard, anyways. He never took his right foot off to get on the board, or even to just glide. Then he looked all happy and smug and even shook his collar. And then the bell rang.Phew! I could not stand another lesson, but I knew Coach Rob would keep asking me about his progress and stuff. I invited him over to my place at 4:30, and if he didn't come, I wasn't teaching. I made that really clear, because I really wanted to go to the new concrete half-pipe in Upper Fadden Hills and hang out with Cody. The next period was band, and for that I couldn't wait either. The Battle of the Bands was starting. Mrs. Hale would randomly choose five people, all who was experienced in a different part of a band, and we would have to work together. At the end of the year, we composed a song and then we would have to play it at a concert. The best song would be the winner, and we would get a trophy, along with $300 for each person. When I pushed the door open, and sat in my seat, I had a funny feeling.
