Although, that hardly mattered to us. We just loved how we felt when we sang it. And it'd always be something, besides the hundreds of pictures that we took, that would remind us of our first ever vacation together. And to be honest, we weren't quite sure if it was going to be something that we would release or not. We were thinking of just putting it on our CDs and letting it be something that true fans would listen to and love.It was Sunday and me and Kevin usually set our Sundays aside to hang out with eachother. We were both feeling really lazy and decided to hang out in my room all day and watch movies. And our first movie was just getting over.Kevin: Tell me we're having a Halloween party this year.Shannon: Well if you wanna, then we can throw one.Kevin: But I want a big party, like not at our houses. Maybe we can rent a reception hall or something.Shannon: Ooh, that could be fun! Let's do it.Kevin: Ok. Fosho! *We laughed.*Shannon: Ohh... Kev, you're so retarded sometimes! I'ma go downstairs and get something to drink and you can pick out the next movie. Want coffee?Kevin: Yeah. I grabbed me and Kevin's drinks and went back upstairs to my room. Mommy was asleep on the couch with the TV on and Andy was shopping or doing drugs... It was usually a toss up with her. Kidding. I got back into my room and Kevin was only just now putting the DVD in. I set my soda down on the table on my side of the bed. My entertainment center was directly in front of my bed and I walked past Kevin to put his coffee on the table by the side of the bed he was sitting on. And when I turned around Kevin was looking at me kinda funny.Shannon: Don't worry, I made it how you like it.Kevin: Shannon.... Chapter 41Luckily Mommy was healing quickly. Well, with physical therapy of course. She had to use a wheel chair every once in awhile there for a bit. And whenever we went to her boyfriends funeral she had to sit in it and hated every second of it. I'd never even been to a funeral before, and I suppose I should've been sadder, but I never really liked the guy. He was alright I guess, just kind of annoying to have around sometimes. But after all that, Mommy seemed to move on quick enough. Which kinda got me. I mean, like I said, I didn't really like the guy all that much, but I can't imagine if Joe had...... you know..... I don't think I'd ever be able to move on. And Mommy's boyfriend dying like that, made me think about how I'd feel if anything *did* ever happen to Joe. And I HATED having those thoughts plague me like that. I suddenly needed to be with Joe pretty much every single second of the day. Just to make sure nothing happened to him. And if something did happen, then at least it'd happen to me too. Only, what if I was like Mommy? What if he went, and I stayed? Yeah, those were the kinds of thoughts I'm talking about. It was making me crazy! I was dragging Joe with me to the drug store to get Mommy's prescriptions when he asked me....Joe: Babe, you're not like... freaking out about your moms boyfriend are you? I mean, are you worried about me?Shannon: Well..... yeah. I am. *I couldn't lie. He'd know anyway. He obviously already suspected, otherwise he wouldn't have brought it up.*Joe: Nothing's gonna happen to me. I know it's not. It's not my time. And it isn't yours...... I've been killing myself over this too, Shannon. *He looked at me. His eyes were watery, but he didn't really look sad.* I told myself, and I keep telling myself- That nothing is going to happen to me or you, we're supposed to be together and we're not yet. So we're safe. *He looked like he was waiting for me to agree with him.*Shannon: *I smiled.* You're right. *It really did make me feel better to think of it like that.* I guess it's just weird knowing someone and then having them die. I've never had it happen. So it freaked me out. Joe, if anything ever *did* happen to you, then I wouldn't ever get over it. I mean, even after we go... I wanna see you in heaven and still be with you. And if something happened to you and I *got over it* and got with someone else, then I'd feel bad for saying, 'Sorry guy, but I'm supposed to be with Joe when I get to heaven.'Joe: Yeah, that'd be awkward. *We both laughed.* Ok, here's the thing.... let's promise, although nothing is going to happen to either of us for a long time, lets promise to always be together, even in heaven. And if anything ever happens to either of us, then neither of us will ever get over it. Coz I don't want to be with anyone else either. And I don't want you ripping some old lady's hair out when we're in heaven. *We laughed again.*Shannon: Ok. I promise.Joe: I promise too.We both knew that people would say that it wasn't healthy what we were promising. But it made us both feel better. Whenever we arrived at the drug store, we got out and hugged eachother for a very long time. It was November 2003 and Joe was 14 and already an inch taller than me. I loved the taller than me Joe! He suddenly grabbed my hand and kissed it and then turned it over to kiss the palm of my hand.Shannon: Hey! That's my thing! *I always did that to him, he loved it! And now I suddenly loved it... he'd better do it all the time now!*Joe: Well now it's my thing too! *He looked at me smiling.* God, I wanna kiss you.....Shannon: *I wanted to kiss him too, but I just smiled at him and grabbed his hand as we walked into the store.* Let's just get Mommy's pills. She's bugging me with her complaining about pain! *We both laughed.*Joe: Oh that's nice! *We got her medication and left. When we got home Andy and Kevin were making out on the couch.* Ok, that's really gross you two! Go somewhere else and not where *I* have to see it. PLEASE! *Kevin and Andy still weirded Joe out.*Kevin: Sorry, we didn't hear you pull up.Andy: Well I did, but I thought it'd be funny. Shannon: Hilarious.....Joe: Not! You want us to get sick? Coz I can puke all over you if that's what you want Andy... *He glared at her. He hated that they got to kiss eachother and we didn't.*Kevin: Andy, don't be like that.... And Joe, you don't have to get so defensive. *He felt bad about kissing in front of me and Joe. He was definitely more sensitive to our situation than Andy was.*Shannon: No worries. Here's Mommy's stuff Andy. *I threw the pills *at* her.* Me and Joe are gonna go to the mall. Feel free to continue with what you were doing. *It came out a little more cold than I planned. And I kinda felt bad because I knew it made Kevin feel bad. But he was the one who was dating Andy. So that's his fault!*
