***2 Days Later***(It's the day of the custody case. Joe is preparing for the trial and desperately hoping that all goes in his favor. Kevin is with him)Kevin: You sure you don't want anyone to come?Joe: Linds is taking care of Nick, and you probably have plans with Rhynae.Kevin: (Sighs) Actually, Rhynae went out again. She's been acting very different, she won't let me get close to her. I don't know what's up with her lately.Joe: That's really strange, she never acts like that.Kevin: I know. I'm worried about that, but I want to be there for you today. (Looks at the time) We gotta go.Joe: Yea, let's go get my babies back.(They get in the care and head to the court)***Nick and Lindsey***(Nick still can't fully speak, but is making progress. He's able to make sounds and utter a few vital words, like food. He has control of his arms up to his elbows, and can turn his head normally. Facial expressions are slowly coming back. They are somewhat awkward, but you get the idea of the expression. {AN: Anything Nick says is slow, so read it that way} )Lindsey: (Pulling out clothes for Nick to wear) Guess what today is? (Turns around to see Nick's response)Nick: (Turns his head to look at Lindsey) (Squints his eyes, trying to speak slowly) R...Re....hab....Rehab?Lindsey: (Face lights up and runs to him, dropping clothes) Yes! Oh my God! Yes! You said it! (Trying not to cry) I knew you'd be fine. I knew you'd bounce back.Nick: F...oo....d.Lindsey: (Smiles and picks up the clothes) Okay, hold on. I'll get you some food, then dress you so we can go.(Lindsey puts the clothes on the bed, then leaves and comes back with a plate of pancakes and fruit)Lindsey: Okay big boy, time to eat. (Puts the plate on the dresser and sits Nick up in his bed)Nick: (Eying the food as his mouth waters uncontrollably) Mmm.Lindsey: I knew I should've bought that bib when I saw it. (Wipes his mouth and gets the plate) Open!Nick: (Opens his mouth and gets fed)(Lindsey feeds him until all the food is gone, then takes him to the bathroom so he can pee)Lindsey: Okay, now don't get all funny on me. I've seen everything you have, so it's not a big deal. (Looks at Nick struggling to aim) You need me to help? I promise I won't shake it more than twice. Since the therapy office isn't that far, they walk so Nick can enjoy the scenery)~~WHOA! I'm loving all the guesses on why Rhynae is acting like she is. How will the trial go?
